Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Images without alternative text
Some images may not yet have meaningful alternative text descriptions. This may prevent screen reader users from understanding the content or purpose of an image.
This fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content).
Link purpose
Some links may not provide sufficient context when read independently of surrounding content, making it difficult for screen reader users to understand their purpose.
This fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 2.4.4 (Link Purpose in Context).
Heading structure
Some pages may contain heading structures that are not fully optimised for assistive technologies.
This fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).
Form field identification
Some form fields may not currently include all attributes required to clearly identify their purpose to browsers and assistive technologies.
This fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.3.5 (Identify Input Purpose).
Semantic markup
Some website components may not use the most appropriate semantic HTML markup, which can affect navigation and interpretation by assistive technologies.
This fails WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).
Our plans to improve accessibility
Following an independent accessibility audit undertaken in October 2026, we are working with our website supplier to address the remaining accessibility issues identified.
Our improvement programme includes:
- reviewing and improving alternative text for images
- improving link descriptions and link purpose
- correcting heading structure issues
- enhancing form accessibility
- improving semantic HTML and accessibility markup across site components
We are working with our website supplier to resolve the accessibility issues identified through our independent accessibility audit. The necessary improvements are expected to be implemented during early 2027 as part of our ongoing commitment to improving the accessibility and usability of our website.
Content not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
Some PDF documents may not be fully accessible.
Where possible, we will avoid publishing information in PDF format and instead provide content through accessible web pages. Where PDFs are required, we will work to ensure they are as accessible as possible and provide alternative formats on request.
